Leaping Giants

"Come on Buddy we have to teach Bonnie to jump!"
"Really? to make a good jump you need speed Reuby
and well... Bonnie isn't built for speed"

"OK Bonnie as well as speed, the approach is important too!"

"I don't know you two that looks a big gap
and a lot of hard work?

Right I'm going for it wish me luck!!!"

"Nope sorry... this way is easier"

All in the Genes

This is Reuben,
You've guessed it Reuby's Dad
and father to Reservoir pups and the Heli Crew litters.

And our Princess Reuby
Can you see the family resemblance?

This Handsome chap is Rocky,
and he is Lord of the manor in the Dolyhir Clan.

So you can now see where I get my good looks from
it's like looking in a mirror!

High Speed Jump

On a recent trip to Wales
Reuby and I were trying synchronized running,
once we had got that sorted
I decided to move to the next level...

High speed water jumping,
"Come on Reuby follow me"
although I think the steep landing area might have been
a leap to far...

Face plant!!!
Don't worry no animals were hurt
during the making of this blog.
But it was funny.

Our "Bonnie" Girl

This is our Bonnie on the 2nd day in our,
now her forever home back in March.
She weighed just 47.5kg and the smell of horse poo
made your eyes water, Dad tried to wash her in the garden,
but had to give in and take her to a doggy salon to get clean.

Here she is in May after putting some weight on
and enjoying her first "Family" holiday.
Once she plucked up the courage to go in the sea
we couldn't get her out.

This is one of the photos Mum and Dad have of Bonnie,
in her old home.
She doesn't look very happy.
It makes us all very sad when we look at it.

But look at her now!!!
Proud as punch of her Red Rosette,
That she won this weekend!
A healthier 61kg
And that face says it all.
She is loving her new life.
Our lifes have also changed for the better now that Bonnie is part of our Family.

Another Bumper Crop...

Today we had a trip out to Hurworth Companion Dog Show near Darlington.
And out of eight classes entered we got six placings,
met lots of interesting dogs and there pets
and made lots of friends.

Bonnie in her first appearance stole the show today,
with a 1st place in the Best Rescue Dog Class.
She has come along way since she join us in our Forever Home,
Bonnie was underweight at 47.5kg
But with some TLC and a lot of love and cuddles,
she now tips the scales at a much healthier 61kg.

Reuby got a 5th place in her second outing in the ring,
as my partner in Best Pair of Dogs.
I thought it kind to let Reuby keep this one,
she is very proud of it can you tell?

Me well I only got four today five if you include Best pair.
3rd for Best Pedigree Junior
3rd for Junior Handler with Human pet Lucy
6th for Handsomest Dog (out of 50)
and 6th for Best Trick.

"Please Buddy I'm only trying them on, they are very pretty"

But after a very long and busy day
it was all to much for Bonnie
and the call of a nap could not be ignored
Happy Dreams Bonnie x

Look into me Eyes

One of the great things about being a Berner
is how we can wrap our human pets around our paws,
I mean just one of these looks and I can get anything I want!

Reuby is catching on quick,
her big sad eye look is coming on a treat.

And then there's Bonnie she is still to prefect the look,
the reason being she falls asleep to quickly.

But as a group we are an unstoppable force
that no human pet can resist....

Reuby Stakes her Claim

Over the past couple of months
Reuby and the small human pet James
have been inseparable,
Reuby is often found upstairs in James' room
while he is plugged into the WiFi
watching him on the Xbox.
Just like Me and Dad they have a "me and my shadow" going on...

Just like any Berner knows
the best way to stake your claim on a human pet is....
yes that's right, Sit On Them!!!
and as Reuby is reaching 50kg that explains
the expression on James' face!

But we all get on as one BIG happy family.
